Lexus has been making luxury vehicles for more than 30 years now. With an established legacy of excellence, the vehicle manufacturer releases new models annually. Each vehicle style has its pros and cons. Learn more about the leading Lexus models for 2023 and how to keep your Lexus looking great no matter how old it is.

1. Lexus NX

The Lexus NX has a rich history of reliability. Plus, the spacious interior makes it comfortable to travel in. You can choose from a variety of engine types to get the power and gas mileage you want, including an electric model. The most popular trim level of the 12 options is the NX 350 Premium AWD, which comes with a 2.4L I4 Turbo engine.

It comes standard with top-of-the-line technology, and you can add unique technology features to the vehicle to further make it what you want. Its one shortcoming is that it doesn’t have as much horsepower as other vehicles in its class. But other than that, you’ll find an excellent standard base with add-ons that make it feel like you’re driving around in posh comfort.

2. Lexus RX

The newest model of the Lexus RX provides outstanding fuel economy at a combined mileage of approximately 36 MPG. And now you can get the vehicle in a plug-in hybrid. For 2023, the vehicle ditches a touchpad infotainment system that many drivers didn’t enjoy. It’s the first complete redo of the vehicle since 2016 and offers plenty of appealing modernizations and improvements.

The interior has improved technology to keep it as a top-selling five-seat luxury midsize crossover. Choose from five trim models with the RX 350h AWD being the most popular with a 2.5L I4 engine.

3. Lexus ES

This luxury sedan is reliable and enjoyable to drive. And while it isn’t as fancy as its European counterparts, it’s still a nice vehicle for its class. What it lacks in pizzazz it makes up for in its comfortable ride.

Now the ES comes with more safety features and gets a combined mileage of up to 44 MPG. Select from 12 trim levels, with the most popular being the ES 300h F Sport Design FWD, which comes with a Hybrid 2.5L I4 engine. You’ll get an impressive 43 MPG in the city with that model and 44 MPG highway.

The ES is the practical luxury sedan you’ve been looking forward to with tools like pedestrian detection and around view camera.

4. Lexus UX

This small crossover feels more like driving a car. You’ll get excellent fuel economy and the Lexus quality and reliability. Automakers are putting more effort behind smaller SUVs and the UX is Lexus’s response to that trend. It has all the comfort you’re used to from Lexus but in a smaller package.

Choose from one of four trim models, including an optional hybrid powertrain that will feel more like you’re driving a car than an SUV. The most popular trim is the UX 250h Premium AWD, which comes with a 2.0L I4 engine. You’ll get up to 42 MPG combined.

The biggest setback to the UX is that it is a bit small for taller adults, especially in the backseat.

5. Lexus GX

This popular full-size SUV comes with V8 power and off-road skills. But amidst its impressive rugged abilities, it is still an attractive vehicle with luxury features. The 7-seater will have lower gas mileage since it is a bigger vehicle but you’ll still get cutting-edge technology with all three trim options.

The most popular model is the GX 460 Premium 4WD, which is equipped with a 4.6L V8 engine. With all that power, you will only get 15 MPG during city driving and an estimated 19 MPG on the highway. But if you’re hauling a crew, it’s a neat way to travel in luxury.
